so heres the story..

i was sick for four days or so when i arrived.. i couldnt sleep/eat and my head hurt all the time. it was the worst i had been sick since i can remember. zuz took care of me until i could do stuff and then did stuff we did.

zuzi's friend invited to a metal concert. heres the band's myspace: STRIGULI

her friend's bro is the drummer.. it was kinda thrash/hardcore if i know my metal genres correctly. they did break into motorhead's 'ace of spades' in the middle of one of their originals.. which makes them ok in my book.

andy (zuzis bro) and i also spent a day in the park with his co-workers.. which was pretty interesting. i was teaching them how to throw an american football and speak english.. maybe ill have accidentally taken over the whole country by the end of the summer. watching these guys throw a football was seriously soo funny/amazing. its like they had never even seen anyone throw one.. they just had no idea.. but to be fair we played some futbol and they kicked ass. the euro 2008 games are going on right now too so everyone's more stoked than usual for some futbol action.

yesterday we went to zuzi's parents home in a little village called 'dolne oresany'. it was like this perfect little village that hasn't changed at all since cars were invented. zuzi's parents were awesome. they gave us a couple bottles of home-made wine and made us some awesome slovak food. they didnt speak a word of english and i know like 5 slovak words.. so i was like 'pekne villej, dakujeme vino' (good village, thank you wine).. i sorta felt like an ass but they got the picture and i think i made sort of a good impression.

weve done tons of other crap.. but im not gonna make you read about it. i havent written in a while and im sure it boring. heres some pics.

i started cycling.. its filling the skateboard-sized hole in my life pretty well
leaving for europe and gonna see zuzi in less than 2 weeks!!

ankle is healing slow and im not taking care of it very well
gonna miss my friends when i go

ive been busy since i moved to missouri.. im only shooting c-41. i like it better. im working on a photo album.. im almost finished with it..

internet wasnt working at moms for a while and then i got lazy but heres the last couple days of my trip. i drove for 10 hours on highway 80 monday.. i saw some ok stuff but i mostly just wanted to be home. uhh if i could walk i would have stopped at a million places and scoped out cool stuff and skated.. and i probably still wouldnt be home. first some outta-the-window randoms:




its really windy and there are a lot of tumbleweeds in nebraska.. i focused a couple with my car and they got stuck to the front.. and then i took pictures of them :D



i passed this big windmill farm on the way too.. ive always thought these things were really cool.


then i saw a big plateau thing with some crosses on it and i thought that was cool.

i tied a cherry stem in a knot wif my tongue!! :P i probably should have been concentrating on driving id be bummed if i died because of a cherry.. or taking a picture of it..


HOME SWEET HOME <3

WASHINGTON -> MISSOURI day 2

this hotel is way nicer. im gonna cgo chill in the hot tub after i finish blawgginggg. im in rawlins, wyoming. i think tomorrow im gonna try to make it all the way home.. 16 hours D:

today i went through jackson, wy.. which was ok. i tried to call my friend who lives there but i couldnt find her #.. but im sure you care about that. i drove through the palisades.. they were kinda pretty. there was this dam but the river was frozen so it wasnt moving and there were some big mountains and stuff. heres a picture:


then i had to drive through this one road thing that was kind of a highway.. but it was 2 lanes and there was nothing on it for like 250 miles.. i almost fell asleep so i pulled over at this oregon trail memorial thing and took a nap. it was pretty there too. see?



thats about all.. the drive was more boring today.. and im sure it will be worse tomorrow. heres a few out-the-window shots:

sup kids. im posted up in dillon, montana. i accidentally went 50 miles out of my way.. i dunno if im gonna go back and get on track or just try to get home from here. whatever. when i checked into the hotel the lady said i looked like i didnt have much money so she gave me a discount. she must not know what money is.

this was the best part of my trip so far. "pink moon" by nick drake was playing on my stereo and i looked over at this mountain and this little guy popped out. i had to wait a little while to take it.. but for soem reason it looks weird.. it was in focus and everything but it turned out like this.. hopefully the film version turns out better.

so on march 21st im putting everything i own in my car and driving to the tetons, denver, kansas city, and eventually home. i hope i dont get robbed and my crappy car makes it. im gonna spend some time at home and then im getting a plane to slovakia to see zuz and her fam. i dont know how long im gonna be in europe yet.. but maybe the whole summer or something. i need to learn more slovak :D. im gonna document my entire adventure and stuff so the blogs gonna be updated a lot and stuff.

if anyone wants to buy a decent sized tv (like 24" i think) for $30 let me know. it works perf and everything.
im also selling my guitar. its a black gretsch electromatic. the input is kinda jank but everything works. $100 OBO
im also giving away lots of clothes so hit me up. its all small stuff so no fatties :P
