status update

ONLY 49 DAYS UNTIL SPRING

bad:
school is hard.
i havent gotten any money for school yet from the dumb govt.
my roomie bailed.
tried to go eat sushi tonight but theres like 19 feet of snow so it was closed so we went to McDs.
my ankle hurts when i do too many kickflips.
it's late and i have homework.
my grampa, vernon auer, passed away. he was an amazing person who did so much in his life.. he was an air force colonel, a judge, was married for 60+ years.. a boss to say the least.

good:
photography is going well.. and im having fun.
skateboarding too.. cept the ankle thing.
feeling loved.. and trying to love others.
excited about traveling this summer.. i might plan a trip around the u.s. or just go to europe. ive been trying to do sth like this for a while but sorta depending on other people.. but now its just me.. but im not bummed.
i should get some cash flow this week. $$$

im in MO (missouri) until january 2, 2008. my mom and stepdad paid to fly me home for christmas so thats rad..

i didnt bring my board on this trip because i have to spend some time with my fam.. but im kinda regretting it. and i didnt bring my vx because i was paranoid.. but i should have brought that too..

but i did bring 5 cameras and tons of film.. so thats keeping me busy. ive already missioned it to a graveyard, a couple fields, and i shot the moon tonight. there was a big halo around it.

tomorrow my pawpaw is taking me to the grave of the guy who shot the guy who shot jesse james (i meant to type that twice read it again). so maybe ill write about that later.

about the graveyard.. its on my mom and stepdads land in millersville, MO. they didnt know about it when they bought the land.. and the graves are mostly from the early 1800s. some of the headstones have been scattered and broken.. and others are unreadable.. so its definitely a strange place. im going to count the headstones next time i go.. but i would guess there are like 250 or something. i tried to do some research and google didn't give me anything. someone had been taking care of it.. it was mowed and a couple graves had flowers and wreathes put on them pretty recently. heres what the land looks like.



and i guess theres a cliff on the land too that i didnt even know about. mom says there are some caves too.. so im gonna check that out.

ive already gone through a roll each of 120 and 35. i have to wait to develop them until i get home.. so ill get the pics up sometime after jan 2. i start school the day after i get back too.. so thats gonna be crazy.. but im hyped.

personal thing:
i was kinda upset this week because some stuff isnt going very well for me.. ive been stressing because i have some debt, a crappy car, and i lost my wallet. but then tonight i realized that there are people going to jail right now.. or scared of being killed by someone.. or owe tons of money.. or are terminally ill.. etc. and i really feel blessed.. i dont really know how to function that well during everyday worldly stuff.. and i feel like God has protected me. so im keepin my head up :)

late night u.t.f. bench sesh

i had the blues today. i lost my wallet and i was sick.. josh, kody, and i drove around for like an hour and a half trying to find a place to eat.. golden corral was closed.. and i locked my keys in my car sitting at u.t.f. with my vx in the back seat. but we still had some fun on this new obstacle that appeared at the park randomly:
